7 February: Full Moon in Leo

Clarity and fulfilment.
The Moon is at full light.
Our plans have reached their fulfilment. We see the results. The plant is in full flower and if we are lucky, it is beautiful and fertile. We learn whether our faith and hard work has paid off. Others see the results of our efforts. We are fully visible, we have peaked.
Energies run high at Full Moon times. We become more aware of our relationships and seek company.
The First Quarter Moon resonates energetically with the Summer Solstice Festival.
The time between the Full Moon and Last Quarter Moon is known as the Waning Gibbous or Disseminating phase.

This is the time when our achievements become obvious. We must share what we have learnt and prepare to share our harvest.

14 February: Last Quarter Moon in Scorpio

Decline and Harvest.
The Moon is decreasing in light (waning).
The current cycle is coming to end. This is a time for sharing our harvest and storing the fruits of our labours for the future. If our plans have worked out successfully, today’s fruits will be tomorrow’s seeds. Old structures start to break down to make way for the new. This can be a time of dissatisfaction if we are not pleased with our harvest, but we have learnt something to take forward to the next cycle.
The Last Quarter Moon resonates energetically with the Autumn Equinox Festival .
The time between the Last Quarter Moon and the New Moon is known as the Balsamic phase.

This is the time when we need to take stock and prepare for the new cycle. The fruits give up their seeds, ready for storage and future planting. It’s a time to look back into the past and learn from the experience. It can be a somewhat magical time when the veil between the worlds is thin.
The Moon is decreasing in light (waning). Things have reached their conclusion, there’s nothing more to do, except prepare for the new cycle which will begin at the New Moon.

21 February: New Moon in Pisces

Beginnings.
The Moon is dark.
A time for rest, review, planning. Ideas are like seeds at the New Moon, they have potential, but we don’t yet know whether they will grow into a strong, healthy plant. We must plant them in the dark and hope they grow towards the light and produce a good harvest later on.
Energies can feel low at New Moon times. We seek rest and alone time.
The New Moon time resonates energetically with the Winter Solstice festival.
The time between the New Moon and the First Quarter Moon is known as the Waxing Crescent phase.

This is the time for taking the initiative and putting plans into action. The seeds of our plans are planted and we must hard work to make them grow. The first shoots will appear. We don’t know for sure that our plans will bear fruit, we must work on faith.
The Moon is growing in light (waxing). Things are gradually becoming clearer.
The Crescent Moon phase resonates energetically with the Imbolc and Candlemas festivals.
1 March: First Quarter Moon in Gemini

Growth, action and challenge
The Moon is growing in light (waxing). Things are becoming clearer.
A time for turning plans into reality. Obstacles may present themselves to be overcome. The shoots of our plans are growing into new plants. This is turning point when we must decide whether our plans are growing into something healthy or whether we are growing a crop of weeds. A time of great growth.

The time between the First Quarter Moon and the Full Moon is known as the Waxing Gibbous phase.

This is the time for actively pushing forward with our goals and perfecting our plans. Flower buds are starting to form on our plants. We start to see the promise of achievement, beauty and fertility.

The Crescent Moon phase resonates energetically with the May Day and Beltane Festivals.
